One of Canada’s biggest tourism companies has tapped a film production company from Rawtenstall to shoot a promotional video.
The deal came about through a recommendation from Tim Littler, head of Journeys by Golden Eagle Luxury Trains.
The duo behind Bigtank Productions, brothers Rob and Brad Hallam, had shot a promo called Moscow to Mongolia for Littler, who then recommended the film production company to Jerry Van Dyke.
Bigtank will now add Ontario-based cruise organizer Journeys by Jerry Van Dyke to their list of notable clients, among the likes of Hilton Hotels and American Airlines.
The Hallam brothers founded the company in 2005, bringing with them thirty years of experience in the television industry. The company, based at Loop Photography Studio in New Hall Hey Business Park, is composed of a skilled team of editors, camera crew, animators, and production personnel.
For the Jerry Van Dyke promotional video, Bigtank Productions will spend 17 days traveling with cameraman Alex Dove along the Danube river.
Bigtank will be producing a three-minute clip for the tourism company’s website and a 20-minute segment providing more details about Journeys’ cruises.
Speaking to Lancanshire Telegraph, Rob Hallam says they were proud to have been tapped and entrusted with the enviable contract.
“To have them come to us is very humbling and we’re proud to be doing this from little old Rawtenstall,” he says.
This just proves that there is a market for Canadian production companies to deliver high quality work to any global firm. Hopefully, this will usher in more Canadian film companies producing topnotch work for Canada.
